Special Collections/Archives

The archival holdings of the Organ Library preserve unique material relating to important figures in the organ world. While some of these collections, such as a batch of correspondence from noted organ builder G. Donald Harrison, are not particularly large, they are of significant interest.

St. Paul's Cathedral bookWm. King Covell’s collection of pre-World War II European organ photos preserves images of many instruments that either have been altered or no longer exist. Archives of the Truette Organ Club and the Choir Directors’ Guild afford a glimpse into local Boston organ activities in the early twentieth century.
